Duncan Wu

Duncan Wu is Professor of English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford and Tutorial Fellow in English at St Catherine's College, Oxford. His research specialisms are British Romanticism and contemporary drama. Publications include the standard textbook on Romantic literature, Romanticism: An Anthology, now in its third edition; a nine-volume edition of Hazlitt's Selected Writings, the first ever edition of Wordsworth's Five-Book Prelude, and a volume of interviews with dramatists and directors, Making Plays.

 

He is just finishing work on a collection of 200 newly-discovered writings by Hazlitt, to be published by Oxford University Press, and is currently working on a new biography of Hazlitt. He has written articles and reviews for The Guardian, The Independent, TLS, New Statesman and Society, and PN Review, among others.
