  Francis Beckett

Francis Beckett is a distinguished journalist and author. His books include the critically acclaimed Enemy Within: The Rise and Fall of the British Communist Party (John Murray, 1995) and Stalin’s British Victims: The Story of Rosa Rust (Sutton, 2004). He is co-author with David Hencke of The Blairs and Their Court (Aurum, 2004), which was published in paperback as The Survivor. Beckett writes regularly on politics and education for The Guardian and The New Statesman. He is a former head of the National Union of Journalists.

Francis Beckett's is currently writing with David Hencke Marching to the Fault Line: The Miners' Strike 1984-1985 for Constable & Robinson.
